Please form three groups and discuss for 15 minutes the likely travel behaviour of "post-materialistic" people especially in the age bracket of 50 to 65. Present your results afterwards. RESULTS Group 1: Empty Nester Choose carefully travel Exotic, lot of culture Small groups with guide Higher spending for higher quality Organize by themselves sometimes Sport – Hiking, Mountainbiking New development – Sky Walk Grand Canyon, 101 Taipeh Information via Internet, special fairs, Travel Agents have to give very high level of service -- Group 2: Destination: 50-65 lot of knowledge, Long Distance travel, Culture, Sightseeing Pay attention to their mind, want to catch different cultures Traditional, historical places Grandparents Volunteers for social groups (disadvantaged children f.i.) Religious interest, not necessarily believing in one religion Information from Internet Will use Travel Agents extensively, save effort Not price sensitive, rather high price market Travel with people of similar age – „peer group“
