"Lahaina on Maui
(Hawaii).
Consider the corner of the Old Fort that protected the royal capital in the
1820's. Sailors got angry at the missionaries for trying to cleaning things
up.They lobbed a
cannon shot into town. So the fort got built. When sailing died out, it was torn
down. This corner was rebuilt in 1964."

As
a matter of fact, there never existed a Old Fort, as there also existed
no royal capital in the 1820s (the only shortly before under King Kamehameha
united Hawaiian islands did not have a concept of "capital" or any
stone buildings).
The stones at the central square of Lahaina -
despite the sign from
the "Lahaina Historical Society" - are left-over props from a
movie production of the 1960s.

Sent (Graubünden) from a promotional website:
"Der vorliegende Prospekt führt Interessierte durch die Heidi - Welt im
Unterengadin und Val Müstair. Sämtliche Drehorte sind mit Schildern
gekennzeichnet und die wichtigsten Ausschnitte nochmals beschrieben. Die Dörfer,
in denen ein Heidi - Ausschnitt gedreht wurde, sind eingangs mit den
Aushängeschilder "Heidi Drehort 2000" markiert.
Sent
Eine besondere Inspirationsquelle für die Filmcrew: In keinem anderen Ort
wurden so viele Szenen gedreht wie in Sent und Umgebung. Der typische Engadiner
Dorfkern sowie der herrliche Standort etwas oberhalb von Scuol mit Sicht auf das
ganze Tal wurden zu Drehorten.
Der Hof Vastur beispielsweise, eine gute Wanderstunde von Sent entfernt,
bietet einige Attraktionen wie eine bewirtete Hüttenatmosphäre und die herrliche
Panoramasicht. Wem der Weg zu lang oder zu anstrengend ist, setzt sich einfach
in eine Pferdekutsche.
Im Dorf selbst bieten das Hotel Rezia - im Film als Pension der Mutter zu
sehen - oder der grosszügige Dorfplatz inmitten der wuchtigen Engadinerhäuser
eindrückliche Kulissen. Die Strasse, die ins mystische Val Sinestra führt, wurde
kurzerhand zum "Peter-fällt-vom-Bike- Weg" umbenannt. Dieser leicht zu befahrende
Bikeweg ins Val Sinestra führt zum Drehort des Totenmahls. Das geheimnisvolle
Hotel am Ende des Tals ist definitiv einen Besuch wert.
